Are you a beginner with questions about getting started in the hobby? Are you an experienced modeler needing help with specific topics? Either way, Modelers Aid can provide you with answers.
The Modelers Aid team offers a Help Desk to share model railroad tips and techniques. See us at the Annual Fall Show, Annual Spring Flea Market, Div 7 Monthly meetings and other local model railroad events. We'd love to visit and talk with you!
Chuck Endreola 440-823-7374 and Sam Parfitt 513-378-9133 lead our friendly team of helpers. Please call or email them to get answers or contacts for your modeling questions, or to volunteer your expertise.
The Model Railroading Roundtable (MRR) program allows like-interested folks to gather in a local home or meeting place and learn a new skill related directly to the model railroading hobby. Those that have mastered the skill host a small group (size of the host’s choosing, typically between four and eight folks) and then in a one-to-two hour session to assist those fellow Division 7 members to develop that skill.
The program started in early 2024. Those interested in hosting an MRR session can contact Sam Swanson at nwindes1980@gmail.com to propose a topic and timeframe. Once those aspects are defined, a timely announcement for each class will be submitted to The Oil Can.
See the pdf attachment below for more details about this exciting program.
We offer an exciting benefit for our new and not so new members - Cincinnati Division 7 Orientation Events. Our inaugural session was on September 17, 2024 at the Cincinnati Marriott North Hotel in West Chester, Ohio. The 2nd session was on March 26, 2025 at the American Legion Hall in Mt. Carmel, Ohio. A 3rd session is being planned for March 10, 2026 at Bob Lawson's home. Other sessions will follow.
Attending this event will accelerate your join-up and fun in both the NMRA and the hobby by sharing the multitude of benefits, opportunities, and resources available, while also providing collaborative interactions with Division 7 leaders and experts. See attached flyer for more details, as well as the slides of past sessions posted below.
